Vernon L. Neely, Class of 1945, passed away on Jan. 19, 2010 in Lufkin, TX. He was the brother of Rose Laurence, Class of 1951 and Sandra Neely Hindle, Class of 1960.

Doris Evelyn Nolin, mother of Cecil, Class of 1962, Linda, Class of 1963, and Eva, Betty, and Cindy Nolin, passed away on December 26, 2009 in Tyler, TX.

ROY LEE TILLEY
Roy Lee Tilley, Class of 1941, passed away on January 1, 2010. He "played hookey" on the day of the explosion. His brother, Bill Tilley, was in the class of 1947.

Ophelia McMinn Manis Langley passed away in Ft. Worth, TX on December 8, 2009. She attended London Schools and was a survivor of the explosion. She and her twin sister, Gwen (deceased) were in the class of 1941.

Robert "Bobby" Nieman, London Museum Board Director and author of a book concerning the 1937 school explosion, passed away on October 17, 2009 in Longview, TX.  Services will be held on October 23, 2009 at Little Flock Baptist Church in Longview, TX at 2 pm.

ALFRED GEBHART
Alfred Gebhart, Class of 1942, passed away on October 14, 2009 in Henderson, TX. He is survived by his wife, Eula Gebhart, Class of 1944.

Mike Wyrick, Class of 1960, is recovering from surgery in Indiana. He is doing well.

RUTH GOSS THOMPSON
Ruth Goss Thompson passed away on October 3, 2009 in Tyler, TX. She was the mother of A.J., Class of 1943; Marlin, Class of 1949; Harvey; Class of 1953; and deceased, Joe Beall, Class of 1945; and Howard Thompson. Burial will be October 7, 2009 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

"LIVING LESSONS FROM THE NEW LONDON EXPLOSION"
The Museum has been able to get the book "Living Lessons from the New London Explosion" reprinted. The book was the first written about the explosion. It was authored by Rev. R. L. Jackson, pastor of the New London Methodist Church. The book is on sale at the Museum for $12.50 plus tax or by mail for $15.00.
