Benita Isham Loveall, Class of 1946 and widow of Jerry
Loveall, Class of 1945, passed away in Texarkana, TX on
June 10, 2010.
RUBY PEACOCK
Ruby Peacock passed away on July 29, 2010 in Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gail, Class
of 1961. She is survived by her son, Walter, Class of
1962, and daughters, Delia, Class of 1966, Shelia, Class
of 1968, and Eltonette, Class of 1969. Burial will be in
Overton, TX.
RUTH MCCONNICO
Ruth McConnico passed away on July 28, 2010 in Houston,
TX. She was the widow of Charlie McConnico, long time
owner of the High School Drug. She is survived by her
sons, Kit, Class of 1958, Ken, Class of 1959, and Steve,
Class of 1968, and daughter, Kathy, Class of 1973.
Graveside services are July 31, 2010 at Streetman, TX.
WILLIE S. ODOM
Willie S. Odom, husband of Betty Shaw Odom, Class of
1951, passed away on July 28, 2010.
LONNIE VERNON BARBER
Lonnie Vernon Barber, Class of 1964, passed away on July
20, 2010 in Brazoria, TX. He was preceded in death by
sisters, Patsy, Class of 1957, and Lon Nell, Class of
1960.
His father , L. V. Barber, Class of 1937, was an
explosion survivor.
WILLIE RHEA STANLEY
Willie Rhea Stanley, long time teacher, passed away on
July 18, 2010 at the age of 99. Services are July 21,
2010 at the New harmony Baptist Church.
KENNETH RANDLES
Kenneth Randles, Class of 1957, passed away on July 16,
2010 in Henderson, TX. He is survived by his sister,
Rita Whisenhunt, Class of 1963. No services are planned.
MARTHA SUE (ROBERTS)
VANWORMER
Martha Sue (Roberts) VanWormer, Class of 1956, passed
away in Colorado on July 13, 2010. She was predeceased
by Norma, killed in school explosion; Albert, Class of
1948; Dorothy, Class of 1950; and Judy, Class of 1966.
She is survived by Joe Frank, Class of 1945; Roy, Class
of 1959; and Kathleen, Class of 1963.

M.C. Silvertooth passed away on March 1, 2010. He was
the father of Rickey, Class of 1965, Donna, Class of
1966, and Peggy, Class of 1968.

Grigg, Jr., who handled the site, passed away. Since
that time we have been trying to take ownership of the

The Museum has
been able to get the book "Living Lessons from the New
London Explosion" reprinted. The book was the first
written about the explosion. It was authored by Rev. R.
L. Jackson, pastor of the New London Methodist Church.
The book is on sale at the Museum for $12.50 plus tax or
