Two new books are available at the Museum telling the
story of the London School Explosion.

written by author David Brown
and
"MY
BOYS AND GIRLS ARE IN THERE",
written by author Ron Rozelle are two excellent books.
They come from the heart of both authors and you will
want to add them to your library.
75th MEMORIAL
SERVICE
The invitations to the 75th Memorial Service have been
mailed out to all members of the Ex Students and the
Museum. It will be held on March 18, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.
at the West Rusk High School Auditorium. Make your plans
to be there for this very special occasion.

Joan Barton, Class of 1950, passed away on January 20,
2012 in Henderson, TX.
BILL UTSMAN
Bill Utsman, Class of 1950 and husband of Danita Oller
Utsman, Class of 1950, passed away on January 12, 2012
in Longview, TX.
JEAN SHEPHERD
TURNER
Jean Shepherd Turner, Class of 1949, passed away on
December 29, 2011.

The website,
nlse.org, has been off line for some time now. William
Grigg, Jr., who handled the site, passed away. Since
that time we have been trying to take ownership of the
site. Problems too numerous to mention have delayed this
transfer. However, we are now on-line as
www.newlondonschool.org. Come visit us soon.

The Museum has
been able to get the book "Living Lessons from the New
London Explosion" reprinted. The book was the first
written about the explosion. It was authored by Rev. R.
L. Jackson, pastor of the New London Methodist Church.
The book is on sale at the Museum for $12.50 plus tax or
by mail for $15.00. You can request the book by
